Mr. himmat Singh Dhillon
Headmaster
Warm greetings from The Lawrence School, Sanawar!
I trust that this message finds you thriving and in good health. It gives me the utmost pleasure to extend an invitation to your fine institution to the Seventh Edition of The Lawrence School Sanawar, Model United Nations Conference, 2024. In essence, we are giving you and your students the opportunity to join a collaboration that builds on the partnerships that Sanawar has built with pre-eminent organizations including the UNODC, the UNHCR, and the UNRWA, amongst others.
In a world shattered by political turmoil and instability, it is of the utmost importance that we remind ourselves that our shared humanity is our greatest unifying factor and that we are a global family. We must therefore perforce not let avarice, petty politics and prejudice come in the way of universal peace.
Mother Teresa once said, “If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.” The School’s motto and guiding light “Never Give In” gives us the inspiration to greet every adversity head-on, ensuring that we do not allow defeat to be an option, as we work together towards a brighter and better future than ever before.
Our theme for this year’s conference is ‘Quo Vadimus?’ or ‘Where are we going?’ On the surface it may appear to be a simple enough statement, it is advocating introspection, reflection and re-calibration. It is a mantra that empowers humanity to address the volatility, uncertainty, chaos and ambiguity that is all too apparent in the world around us. It is a call to action to be the change that will usher in a kinder, better and more humane world.
SNAMUN encourages delegates to be at their creative best, be risk takers, dare to dream and have the confidence to voice their convictions with courage. We view our delegates not as the leaders of tomorrow but as the change makers of today who will make Now better! The clock is ticking, sooner rather than later, they will indeed be the ones deciding ‘Where are we going?’
The SNAMUN Conference provides an excellent forum for our young students to explore and contemplate on how they want to alter their world.
‘You cannot shake hands with a clenched fist.’ The time has come for us to do away with our differences, the time has come for the future to be built into a better place than the past and this can only be achieved through unity and uniformity in decisions across the globe.
As the Headmaster, I am deeply honored to extend a warm welcome to all delegates to the SNAMUN’24. This conference promises to be unforgettable for all participants, and your presence will undoubtedly enhance the significance of the proceedings.
We are eagerly waiting to welcome your delegation. We shall greet you as guests; however, we give you the guarantee that when it is time to say adieu, you will leave us as members of our family! The entire team of SNAMUN is most eager to go above and beyond to host your School in August 2024!
Thank you very much for your unwavering support. Join us! Let’s be the change…

With warm regards,
Himmat Singh Dhillon.
